Social, and in various fields, within the framework of an integrated and interconnected system between all units of the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa.
In 2023, Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa continued to confront the speeches of terrorist groups, refute their suspicions and falsehoods, and contribute to eliminating the chaos of fatwas and correcting false ideas, in order to protect Muslims, especially young people, from falling into the clutches of extremism, while providing Muslims with disciplined fatwas and legal sciences. And it is true in all parts of the earth.
The efforts of Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa varied during the year (2023 AD), to include; Fatwa, advocacy, awareness, field (social and family), research, educational, media, and training matters, the most prominent of which can be mentioned in brief points:
*First place in “Government Excellence”*
During the year 2023, Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa won first place in the republic in the Egyptian State Award (Egypt Award for Government Excellence), as the best work team in the republic, due to the effective effort and outstanding performance, as the best work team in the republic, from Among all the advanced teams from state institutions to receive the award, which was honored by His Eminence the Grand Imam A. The “Al-Azhar Electronic Fatwa Bank” at the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa continued to provide its distinguished services to the public, which began work in December 2019. To be a pillar for fatwa research and dissemination of the moderate and sober approach to the masses of Muslims locally and globally, the center announced it in 2020 AD, in light of the circumstances of the Corona crisis at the time, and its first publications were; The comprehensive legal guide to dealing with the new Corona virus Covid 19, and it was published in the issue of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Magazine Dhul-Qa’dah in the year 1443 AH, and the number of fatwas prepared by the bank since its establishment to date has reached more than (10,000) ten thousand fatwas, in addition to the number of fatwas mentioned above. Al-Azhar International Fatwa Center has provided many efforts in the field of research and review, as the number of research, reviews, scientific follow-ups, and original works has reached more than (37,239) thirty-seven thousand two hundred and thirty-nine works, in the field of correcting misconceptions and confronting extremism (intellectually – doctrinally). Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa was keen to maximize the benefit from the efforts of scholars and specialists, as the center included a scientific advisory team that was formed in 2019 AD, and it includes experts in all different scientific fields and specializations, and this team is utilized in cooperation to prepare the necessary contents for the center within the framework of each specialty. *Bayan Unit to Combat Atheism and Non-Religious Thought*
The “Bayan” unit, which was established by the Center, followed up on atheistic suspicions raised in the media and on social media and responded to them, and interviewed and answered a number of cases that had suspicions and questions, and their number reached about (509,786) five hundred and nine thousand seven hundred and eighty-six works, since The unit will be launched in 2019, until December 2023.

The center’s psychological support unit works to support mental health, enhance self-confidence among young people, communicate constructively with them, and listen to the issues on their minds and the problems and challenges they face, which have an impact on their morale, and their contribution to building society and positive interaction with the nation’s issues. The unit uses modern methods and curricula. In the context of supporting the Palestinian cause, the Department of Hebrew Studies was established to expose the allegations of Zionism, analyze the articles of the Zionist rabbis, refute them, and track what is issued by the Zionist entity and deal with it within the framework of what is related to the work of the center. *“Cultural and Intellectual Salon” to discuss the problems of the Egyptian family and support the system of values and morals*
The Center held (12) cultural and intellectual salons during the year 2023 AD, through a cognitive vision and a clear implementation plan in all scientific, religious, and life disciplines. To enhance societal awareness and confront negative phenomena in Egyptian society in all its aspects.
*A “jurisprudential forum” to discuss developments and various religious and life issues.
Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa held the fourth jurisprudential forum entitled: “Fatwa Bodies and Institutions and their Role in Supporting the Palestinian Cause.” The jurisprudential forum is one of the tools of the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa for research and renewal of fatwas, which the Center holds periodically, and through which it discusses many developments and religious issues. Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa continued its efforts in activating and implementing the provisions of cooperation protocols to achieve common goals with many stakeholders in society, the most prominent of which are; Cooperation protocols with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Council for Women, and many Egyptian universities, in addition to coordination efforts with the General Secretariat of Mental Health, coordination with the Fahim Foundation for Mental Health, and strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of State for Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad.
Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, also succeeded in implementing the (Awareness is Life) initiative in 27 governorates, spreading awareness and correcting concepts for participants in the “Youth Train” initiative, in addition to cooperating with the Ministry of Social Solidarity in supporting human building morally, religiously and educationally. Implementing activities in the penal institution, continuing cooperation with Islamic affairs and fatwa bodies, and providing them with fatwas and statements issued by the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa, translated into foreign languages regarding religious and fatwa affairs in the world, and supporting these bodies, institutions and centers; To spread the moderate approach in the world, and confront the phenomenon of Islamophobia in Western countries.
During the year 2023 AD, Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa was able to prepare an awareness and educational plan for the people of the border governorates and the people of Sinai in particular, as part of the comprehensive development program for the beloved land of Sinai, and to activate this by conducting a number of electronic convoys and campaigns, in addition to coordination with the Egyptian Youth Council, and coordination with… The Egyptian Football Association (Mini Football), within the framework of supporting awareness and correcting religious and societal concepts among young people and young people, and rejecting fanaticism.
